Jim & Holly Galante have been involved the art & craft business since the early 70's.  Most recently, their metalsmithing has created the wonderful and whimiscal "critters" of Yard Garb.  Through art shows hundreds of the the little buggers have brought fun to people in Maine, New England and across the country www.Yard-Garb.com . Made from all found and recycled metals Jim & Holly intend to weld all Maine's rusted metal paraphernalia into some form of whimsical and fun sculpture.

Jim & Holly have learned that customers enjoy buying arts and fine crafts for a number of reasons.  A really great setting (thank you Maine Audubon) tents and displays that are attractively arranged, artists that are there to discuss their craft and their techniques.  Customers like to see a broad variety of mediums and they need to be unique, handmade one-of-kind pieces with fair prices and a warm friendly enviroment that just feels good. All these wonderful things can be found at this year's Audubon Show.

This funny little lady bug was born (recycled) from an old chinese wok...... just one of the fun little critters of Yard Garb.

These are some of remarkable artists that were at last year's show ......... see more of their handmade work at their websites

When he was a young boy growing up in postwar Hungary Antony Takacs began learning traditional blacksmithing methods under his father's watchful eye.  Every piece Antony creates today utilizes those Old World methods such as hand-hammered joinery and forge work that he learned as a youth. Antony will be demostrating his craft; come and meet him and see the passion of a master blacksmith at work.
